DockHarbor (“DockHarbor,” “we,” “us”) provides software that extracts and structures data from freight and shipping documents. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it. We keep it short and plain because the people who use DockHarbor handle sensitive shipment data every day.
Account information. When you join the waitlist or create an account, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name and company.
Documents you submit. To process a shipment, you send us documents (e.g. bills of lading, invoices, packing lists) that may contain shipper, consignee, and cargo details. We process these solely to return structured data to you.
Usage data. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics (pages viewed, aggregate usage) to improve the product. We do not use invasive tracking or sell data.
We use your information only to: (a) provide the document-processing service and return results to you; (b) operate, secure, and improve DockHarbor; (c) communicate with you about your account, access, and service updates; and (d) process payments through our payment provider.
Your submitted documents are not used to train machine-learning models. They are processed to produce your output and then deleted from active processing storage after a short retention window (by default within 30 days, or sooner on request). Aggregated, non-identifying quality metrics may be retained to improve accuracy.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate DockHarbor (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, AI processing infrastructure, and our payment provider). These providers are bound to use the data only to provide services to us. Payments and billing are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, who processes your payment information under their own privacy terms.
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and short retention windows to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we design DockHarbor to hold the minimum data for the minimum time.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may ask us to delete submitted documents at any time. To exercise these rights, email privacy@dockharbor.co. Depending on your location (e.g. the EU/EEA or UK), you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection law.
DockHarbor is operated remotely and may process data on infrastructure located in multiple regions. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
