Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of DockHarbor (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using DockHarbor on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf.

1. The Service

DockHarbor extracts and structures data from freight and shipping documents you submit and returns that data to you. The Service is an aid to your own workflow — it is not a substitute for professional review.

2. Accuracy and human review

Automated extraction can contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all output before relying on it for filings, customs declarations, carrier submissions, or any operational or legal purpose. DockHarbor does not submit documents to carriers or authorities on your behalf, and does not provide customs, legal, or trade-compliance advice.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to: (a) use the Service only for lawful purposes; (b) submit only documents you have the right to process; (c) keep your account credentials secure; and (d) not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service.

4. Plans, billing, and Merchant of Record

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis as described at sign-up. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases. Paddle handles billing, taxes, and receipts, and their terms also apply to the transaction. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated.

5. Data

Our handling of your data — including that we do not train models on your documents and delete them after a short retention window — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Availability

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. During beta/early access, features may change and the Service is provided “as is.”

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DockHarbor is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from your reliance on output that was not independently verified. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the three months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
